About

The history of each human life is punctuated by moments of great tragedy and tremendous joy. Often, the moments of intense sadness are most essential in defining our character. These emotions are profound because they are unbearable. We cannot live with them indefinitely. The choices that we make to move forward from these insufferable moments, in part, define us. The manner in which we deal with tragedy characterizes us individually and as a group, nation, or people. From the Ashes depicts the struggle to find redemption in the face of powerful sorrow.
